Traidenis received the Knowledge Economy Company 2009 award as the most progressive traditional industry company. The awards were presented by President Dalia Grybauskaite.

"By granting awards, we aim to show that the knowledge and the ability to use it guarantees the progress and success of an enterprise. This is particularly evident in the times of economic recession – the award-winning companies are successfully expanding their activities in spite of global crisis," said the Knowledge Economy Forum Board Chairman Kestutis Jasiunas. "Lithuania has the potential to develop and deploy advanced technologies. The achievements of young companies is a great example of how, even having no significant resources or support, the promising high-tech business can be developed. Our goal is to encourage the business community to sharing experiences and inspiration to be courageous initiatives", Edgaras Leichteris, Knowledge Economy Forum Director.
Knowledge economy forum organizes these rewards for companies and organizations which are working hard on making new products and creating innovations for society and science.

Sokol Klincarov, a vice-minister of environment of Macedonia, also Milan Todoroski and Juliusz Sumorok, representatives of company Pro Futura in Macedonia and Poland, visited JSC Traidenis on 10-11^th September, 2009.

Guests got to know about JSC Traidenis activities, they also saw the manufacturing process of wastewater treatment equipment, visited Azuoliniai, Krosna and Leipalingis townships, where wastewater treatment equipment of JSC Traidenis are mounted.

There is a lack of drinking water in Macedonia, so wastewater treatment is very important. Guests compared Traidenis production‘s quality and prices with Austrian and Czech. Traidenis product‘s seemed to be more attractive.

Traidenis specialists should go to Macedonia and take part in a conference about wastewater treatment equipments in October. At the moment were sold only some domestic wastewater biological treatment equipments to Macedonia through the representative company of Traidenis in Poland (Traidenis – Pol).

Traidenis produced tanks from glass – reinforced plastic (GRP) which DN is 5m and length 11 m.  It’s the first time when tanks from GRP of 5m diameter are produced not only in Lithuania but also in East and Middle Europe.

Traidenis got an order to produce 9 units of tanks (DN 5m, length 11m) last autumn. An order was given by company Manfula. Manfula was looking for a designer and producer of chemical resistant tanks and abroad, but because of reliability of technical personnel and modern manufacturing equipment it was choosen company Traidenis.

Transportation of tanks from Alytus (South of Lithuania) to Pasvalys (North of Lithuania) took about 10 hours.

Tanks will be used as bioreactors in a newly build bioethanol factory in Pasvalys city, in which rapes will be used for producing biofuel.

It was organized an international conference in JSC Traidenis on 9 July, 2009, in which took part professors from Lublin, Krakow and Siedlce (Poland) universities, also A. Lapinskiene, a lecturer of Klaipėda university,  dr. R. P. Budrys, the president of the Engineering Ecology Association and K. Iljasevičius, managing director of  the Environment Management and Audit Institute.

S. Leonavicius, Managing director of JSC Traidenis, introduced company’s activities and work experience in environmental field. During the conference it was discussed about the possibility to work together, implement common projects and by using EU support to establish a cluster from Lithuanian and Polish companies, universities for creating new wastewater treatment equipment, doing experiments, improving wastewater treatment technologies.

 

Traidenis was pronounced the best exporter of the year 2008 by the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists and was awarded a name of the Best Exporter of the Year 2008.

Traidenis was awarded by LR Ministry of Environment, together with the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists, the Engineering Ecology Association and the Environment Management and Audit Institute, the diplomas and bronze statuettes The most Environmentally Friendly Product for the attainments in environment protection sector (flotator).

Investment and finance dept. director Mrs. Vineta Iranoiska and  architect Mr. Brenko Kasoski of Prilep municipality (Macedonia), employee Mr. Milen Todorovski  of Macedonian embassy in Poland  and other designers from Lomza (Poland) visited JSC Traidenis on 30^th of May. 
 

Guests got to know about JSC “Traidenis” activities, they also saw the manufacturing process of wastewater treatment equipment, visited Azuoliniai and Santaika villages, where wastewater treatment equipment of JSC “Traidenis” are mounted.

Flotator was awarded gold medal of the Product of the 2008 Year of Lithuania.

The sixth time successively Traidenis became a winner of competition Successfully Working Enterprise 2008 among small enterprises and was awarded diplomas for the attainments in production modernization, improvement of work conditions and expansion of products range and markets.

JSC Traidenis managing director Sigitas Leonavicius got a Diploma and order from European environment academy for done work in environmental field. 

Mayor of Alytus city municipality gave an acknowledgement for promotion of Alytus city name.

 

An official opening ceremony of object in Kaliningrad “500m³/p capacity domestic wastewater biological treatment equipment of Nansen street, Kaliningrad” was organized on 9^th December, 2008, in which took part managers from Kaliningrad municipality environmental Dept, building and architecture Dept., designers, technical director of JSC Traidenis.

JSC Traidenis produced, installed and did start-up adjusting works of 500 m³/p  capacity domestic wastewater biological treatment equipment.

The Export Prize award ceremony of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts took part on the 12^th November, 2008 at  Verkiai Palace in Vilnius.  
The President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus gave a Lithuanian export prize to JSC Traidenis managing director Sigitas Leonavičius.

JSC Traidenis export rose 105,3 % in comparison to  I-III quarters of this year to the same period of the last year.  Company exports its production to Russia, Belarus, Poland, Latvia and etc.

Participants from 11 EU countries of the international seminar „The role of social partners strengthening social responsibility of enterprises” visited Traidenis as socially responsible company 2007, on the 24^th October, 2008.

Participants of the seminar were impressed by new modern technologies, care about employers work and rest conditions, sincere atmosphere. The participants of the seminar stressed that everybody has to promote corporate social responsibility that is useful for everybody.  

 

 

Minister of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania Artūras Paulauskas visited JSC “Traidenis” on the 3^rd of October. Minister got to know about JSC “Traidenis” wastewater treatment equipment, discussed about the problems in wastewater treatment sector and also he was introduced with company’s perspectives of activities during the visit.

 NV type domestic wastewater treatment equipment, produced by JSC Traidenis, was recognized as the most ecological product and won the 1^st place in a competition during the XV international agriculture exhibition which took place in Sedlc (Poland) 13-14^th September, 2008.
